Merc 6.2L owners manual

Hi,
I see you have a huge list of manuals for mercruiser. I need help in finding the right one for my mercruise 6.2 MX MPI Bravo 3 serial #OW666879. I would like to do my oil changes and gear oil and light maintenance so I also would need manual for the leg.... Thanks for helping

Might want to recheck the serial number, the one you posted OW666879 is for a 4.3 MPI engine.

I just checked with Cobalt as I was going by my records and they indeed confirmed with me that the serial #OW666879 is correct and it is a 6.2L merc bravo 3....now what ?

Verify it by looking at the engine and recording the serial number off the tag rivited to the block, just above the starter.

Darn, I was hoping to have the manual so when I go to the lake (which is where the boat is) in May I would have what I needed. Is it necessary to have the serial number for a manual when we know what the engine is ?

What year is the boat? That might help. But boat year and engine year are not always the same, that is why Merc and Volvo use serial numbers.

The manuals you probably need are 31, 36, 37, 39 and 40.
I would strongly suggest you get the real numbers off the engine, drive and transom shield, because that number you and Cobalt have is the wrong one. I even checked on Mercs Parts express site and got the same results. 4.3MPI

The serial# i gave you OW66879 could be OW666849...the 7 could be a 4...
does that make a difference?

How do I find these maunal #'s you have given me?

Yes, that does it and goes to a 6.2

Since you stated in your original post that "I see you have a huge list of manuals for mercruiser. I need help in finding the right one for my mercruise" that you found the list of service manuals up in the Adults Only sticky at the top of this forum.

One note, I just noticed you ask for owners manuals, and the list I gave you are actual OEM Service manuals.
