merc 7.5 need discontinued part ! Help pls

Hey everyone... Been a while .... Picked up a 7.5 from my brother . He said it wouldnt shift after the neighbor put a new waterpump in it for him . The marina up north tried to tell him they would have to pull the power head to replace a nylon bushing. ( 200. bux) So I got it for a song and dance ,lol
Turns out they tried to rip him. I pulled 4 snaprings and the throttle cables to get at a broken guide right where the lower shiftshaft meets the upper in about 20 min.
Anyway, here`s the motor specs ... Mercury lists the guide as no longer available and crowley and a couple others havent returned any e-mails for used parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :redface:

Thanx I`ll give them a ring ... I think it needs bushings in the tillersteering too ... there`s alot of slop...
