Merc 75/90 ELPTO lower unit bearing cross reference

Hi All,

Assuming this inner needle bearing in my spare 90 ELPTO lower unit bearing carrier assembly needs replacing because of the rust:

, how do I cross reference its part number 31-12578T to bearing makers' numbers? (e.g. Koyo, SKF, Timken etc)

Take the assembly with you and ask them or call first and hope you get someone knowledgeable on the other end. Good bearing specialists will know what you need assuming they have it in stock.

Looks like it's Torrington B-2812 barely visible in the picture (I.D.=1-3/4", width=3/4").... perhaps someone here could confirm.

Aftermarket: Sierra 18-1113, GLM 22760.
