Starts right up, runs a few, seconds then dies. Disconnect the fuel tank, starts right up, then dies after around 30 seconds of idleing. water come out of the pee hole and lower unit drains just fine. Checked the carb, needle and seat, fuel pump, fuel line and bulb (holds pressure), tank vent open, fresh gas.

If i disconnect the tank at the motor, start the motor, it runs, then when I connect the fuel tank, it dies immediatley.

Any ideas? It ran fine last season.

The engine is flooding either the inlet needle is leaking or the float level is to high. There is also a chance the fuel pump diaphragm is ruptured

I cleaned the needle and seat and it seemed to work good. The float didn't seem to be sticking.

I did notice that the bulb on the fuel line doesn't get hard with pressure like it used to when connected to the motor. The bulb does firm up when I disconnect it from the motor though.

If the float is up, the needle should shut off fuel from the pump right?
The needle/seat and float are the only things that cause that firm feeling in the fuel line bulb when the float bowl fills up?

If so, then maybe i need a new needle/seat and float.
