Merc 9.9 sneezing

I have a 92, mostly unused Merc 9.9 and put all new components into the carb as it had been in storage 14 years. Looks brand new.

Starts easy, idles beautifully, full throttle lots of power, mid throttle to slower it tends to run about 10 or 15 seconds and then sneeze/miss and pick up again to repeat.

Anyone know the basic adjustment that might smooth this one out? Or could it be something other than a carb/fuel issue?

The mixture is a bit rich, mine dose the same thing, it seams to be a normal thing. If you dial the mixture down then its harder to start and it dosnt idle very well. On mine after a run when it idles down it will sneeze 2 times then idle ok.
