Merc I/O side mount controls ?????

I have a Grew boat with single lever dual action side mount controls and I like to know if I can swap it out and put in dual lever single action side mount controls???? I like to have one lever to control throttle and one control for forward and reverse . can this be done? thanks for your time and what controls would be the best

Ayuh,.... Sure,... Go for it,....

Ya may, or may not need to replace the cables,....

Depends on the controller ya choose,... Gonna no doubt be custom/ aftermarket,...

Why do you want to do that? I just personal preference? There should be a button for throttle only or you can pull out for throttle only depending. Those style controls are usually for bigger boats and diesels.

I have an Ultraflex in my Bayliner two controls, the same cables fitted fine,I,ll see if I can find a pix

I did the swap on my first Grew 175. I used an ancient Brydon Boy 2 stick controller that was laying around. Might still be here. For me it was just personal preference.

The reason I want to go to twin lever single control is that I have more control with the boat when docking or putting on the trailer if I can keep at low idle and just shift forward and back
