The workers did it to them selves.in this economy If your employer tells you its like this or else and you say oh well or else. You get whats coming or in this case loose your job. I know for a fact Stillwater will welcome them with open arms for both the increase in jobs for production and construction.

Agreed. Things can be negotiated back and a contract written that way for when and if the economy improves. Compare that to negotiating to bring a manufacturing organisation back to the area. Even if that happened do you honestly think that they would want a union.

hell yeah i would!! mercury did not do that to the workers. their own union thug bosses did it to them by lying about what was going on. mercury is moving to OK. mercury is just shrugging off dead weight. if GM had of done that and called the union bluff just once obama wouldnt have socialized them. it just goes to show the greed of the typical union thug.

in this obama economy you have to be pretty damn stupid and i mean rock freekin stupid to vote yourself out of a job!!!

Mercury did not create a recession, Mercury did not elect an anti business regime in Wisconsin, Mercury did not make the union greedy and unwilling to compromise, Mercury did not create foreign product dumping by manufactures that do not pay all of the green taxes and green energy prices and EPA regulations and union pay.

The people in this country are finally getting what they deserve, a third world economy and no jobs. The chickens are coming home to roost. Elections matter.

Sounds like you lost your faith, I don't sell Americans that short.
I grew up in England and watched it go through this cycle and bounce back with success. Americans are far better prepared to endure this than anyone else.

Its not so much that unions did this or the companies deserve that.
Whilst both sides of the story are true...
The truth is people get exactly what they want from life.
When they want what is right they'll get things started in the right direction.

In the meantime we can either rant like an ignored prophet or sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Because no matter what, they show will go on.:)

Personally I'll continue to buy the best product on the market, Mercury or otherwise, where best is defined as a mix of quality, design, price, supportability, color, and gut feeling.

Union/non union or American Made/Foreign doesn't mean anything.
