If you've got the originals to work with, a good sign shop ought to be able to cut you something close in vinyl - for a lot less than NOS retail...<br />- Scott

A 1984 would be a Brownband. Would it be worthwhile looking for a perfect condition cowling from someone wrecking or parting one ?

Let me know if you got the decals that you need. I know a man that cab get you the originals for a HOLE lot less probably around 50 to 70 bucks. My email address is wareagle50@hotmail.com.

Go to Ebay. Enter "Mercury decal" in the search. You should find cool racing decals. Much cooler than stock decals.

I've worked in the sign industry for over 20 years and I can tell you for fact that a one time customer for custom decals (one or two each) you will pay at least as much as Merc wants. In my shop and the many shops I know, you would pay more.<br /><br />There is a lot of expensive high tech equip and a highly paid commercial artist going into those custom decals.<br /><br />I suggest buying Mercs, they buy them in quantity. The prices are not bad!
