Is there a possibility to use a newer style thermostat housing with the water inlet and PS cooler by rotating the inlet fitting inside the boat? I currently have a "jackrigged" setup for the maiden voyage and want to make it right. Went from log manifolds to center risers, and the inlet to the newer style thermostat housings are on the port side. Looks like I can rotate the inlet fitting on the gimbal housing 180 degrees and get the water inlet to line up right..but havent tried it yet. Is this possible?? I am trying to avoid paying 150 plus for the conversion housing when I can pick up a standard center riser thermostat housing for very cheap. Any tips, as always, well appreciated.
