Re: merc risers and manifolds ??
i don't know. if i was selling the part, i think i'd want to know that i'm selling the customer the right part. not much is more frustrating to a customer than to have the part in hand and be ready to do the deed only to find it's the wrong part... just my 2 cent on that.. give them a chance and find your s/n, there not hard to locate... again, the proper s/m will likely have pics to help locate them if you can't find it..

My point is
1) How many different woodruff keys could there be in the mercruiser line?
2) How hard could it be to compare them side by side(i did have it with me and showed it)?
3)I told them which motor, just no s/n.
It's one simple single piece of metal, compare the dimensions side by side and thats it, not a longines timepiece clockwork.
Still believe they were in over their heads from what I saw. If someone shows you a m8x14 bolt do you need to know s/n of machine it came outta of? Just addresssing the fact the merc dealer does not always know the proper answer.
