Yes, that number(398-5454A63) has been substituted by part number (398-832075A20), which is the same part and will work...<br /><br /> 398-832075A20 STATOR KIT-4 CYL 1 $326.55 from Mercury Parts Express.

Thanks, Rick Will the A36 work with this motor also? And why are there different A numbers such as 35 and 21? Thanks again

"398-832075A20 STATOR KIT-4 CYL 1 $326.55 from Mercury Parts Express. "<br /><br />Just a little FYI, that is a kit to convert to a red stator, not a direct replacement. The kit includes an adapter module and requires additional installation. The original stator is NLA and supersedes to the current number.
