I need a Merc Stator, 858404T and Regulators 883072T.. Where can I buy them the cheapest? or can I send the Stator back to CDI for rebuild?

I ckd the charging circuit and was only getting 6-8 volts per wire (yellow), by going lead to ground at idle and little change w/ rpm increase.

Why not google search the part numbers, and see what prices you get?

Wait a minute. The coil the yellow wires connect to is not connected to ground. The only voltage reading that is significant is between the yellow wires. (one lead on each wire) If they are disconnected, it should read about 12-15 volts AC per 1000 rpm.

If you connect a 12 volt light between the yellow wires, it'll light up at idle, and probably burn out if you rev it up.

If the stator ohm's out OK, (less than 1 ohm between the yellow wires, and no continuity between either one and ground, it's probably OK.

hope it helps

I have tried Google.. and get very few returns. I know there are many dealers on here that may have a better price.
