Yeah the tks part can be a little finicky but im a big fan of carbs. Can fix with simple hand tools vs needing a software package.
i think the tks common issues are well documented on this site soyou should be able to search them out. Worst case replace it with a mercarb or upgrade to 4 bbl intake and edlebrock 1409
