I have an older twin with alpha drives. I've always liked the idea of galvanic protection. I know I have anodes on the drives. My question is can I use one setup to protect both drives?

You can but I would not recommend it. You need a field current around both drives. The Mercathode has barely enough power to protect one drive. If you picked up the Merc measuring probe (platinum coated wire), you could measure the protection field
