My 5.7 Mercruiser has this system (I have a s/s prop)- I heard this system can draw down the battery though? My boat will be moored without shorepower readily avail-but used every couple weeks- anybody have experience/comments with this system ?

It pulls so little power you should be ok. IV never had a problem with my boats that have had it.
