Mercruise 120/140 hp cyl. head interchange

Is it possible to use a 120 head on a mid 80's Mercruise 140 hp 4 cyl. or vice versa? thanks in advance for any info.

try car engine from pick a part or junk yard the whole motor but change stuff off boat motor to the new one,make sure you hear car run if posible <br />it alot of work for junk,I rebuilt my most of time even if got from junk yard,I know it's right

Those aren't Car engines,......... They Don't Exist in Junkyards........<br /><br />The 2.5l motors used in the Cars,+ Trucks is a Totally Different Motor............. None of their parts will Interchange.........

I don't know if they will swap on not but as a general guide to what is and is not interchangeable you can simply compare the gaskets, in this case the head and manifold gaskets, if they don't match up than you can stop there! If they do than look a little deeper such as chamber volume, valve actuation, external plumbing etc. <br />Good luck.
