Greetings Kar, don't even think about it. Unless you want to risk blowing your boat and or yourself to smithereens. The marine fuel pumps are specially built to prevent a fuel leak into your bilge. Did you notice that your present fuel pump has a little hose running from it to your carb? That's in case if the diaphragm in the pump ruptures, fuel is dumped back to the carb instead of in your boat. Good Luck, Mike
