I have an '85 Searay seville with Mercruiser 120 (2.5L) and i'm encountering re-starting issues after running @ WOT for extended time. Engine acts like it's flooded and will re-start after extended period. Just wanted some advise on whether I'm correct on flooding theory and what do I need to do to fix this issue ?

Hi,next time it wont start, pull a spark plug and see if its wet with petrol.if it is,you need a carb kit with a new needle valve. If its dry,try hand priming the fuel to the carbie[if youve got a primer bulb],and see how much it takes to fill the carbie.Try a compression test[with coil feed wire disconnected]and see what the readings are.120-160 even on all cylinders is good
