Ready to put my boat in. Went over everything, put the gas to it, strong roll over but no start, the plugs are wet but no start. I changed the coil and still nothing. What new parts do I have to change on the distributor to get it sparking?

Since you dont state much information, and there are many variations of the 120hp.......I am going to assume you have points.

If so, simply file them and gap them, then set timing. See the DIY sticky at top of forum, look at links 18-20

if yours was like mine and was sitting in saltwater for 8 months before I bought it and saved it from the junk heap the inside of the distributor may look like this. It would idle ok but still not perfect but was dead after 1800 rpms. Weights were rusted to bottom cleaned up and slick now, waiting on Pertronix to get here.

Mine looks different then that. It just has points and condenser. It’s nice and clean. There are some filings on the brush that goes against the rotor but nice and clean. How do I get to the sticky note on the top of the forum that tells me how to set the timing.

All this is located under the points plate. Mine also had the points and condenser but I am putting the Pertronix on it to get away from ever having to set points again. I dont know how to get to the sticky.

Go to the forum home page and look at the top 2 posts. They are pinned (or 'stuck', hence 'stickies) to that position...

Here....
