Well I may have really done it this time. During the attempt to repair the water pump (in lower unitl) I was having trouble separating the lower from the upper. I got the four screws and the trim tab... Well, it wouldn's come apart to I thought a rubber mallot would do the trick. I thought is was coming off nice and then... CRACK! ****! Oh NO!!!!! In one hand I was holding the mallot and in the other hand i was holding pot metal where the trim tab would mount. It is only the rear, but it seems to ba a critical part. I was thinking maybe to JB weld it, but maybe there is a better way? This is way bad and is really going to set me back, as this thing is from the late 60s. Any ideas or help or whatever would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!! Hell, a new drive unit would be fine by me if anyone is giving them away! haha.
