Hi there,

does anyone have access to a service manual? I am making my boat ready for the season and it woluld pretty much help to know, what needs to be done.

By the way what oil quality is needed?

Thanks for your reply!

Post your question in the I/O section. There is a section over there that allows downloading service manuals.

service manuals and other good stuff are in the adults only sticky (on the i/o forum)... http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=288430 look at #9 and probably download 3 and 4. confirm by s/n.

to get it ready (summerize it). same place, the adults only sticky. but look at #5 and #6.

for oil quality. be easy on yourself and just get mercruiser 25W40. it's mercruiser recommended.

myself, i use, and comply with the winterization thread and the winterization facts in the s/m. summerization will be

drain anti freeze

charge and have the batt. load tested

physically take apart as many electrical connections i can see and clean them. grounds too.

give it a minor tune up. new points, cond. rotor, plugs, maybe cap. dwell and time it and be sure idle speed is where i want it.

make sure everything works. trim up and down, lights, horn, etc.

inspect trailer lights for proper operation and tire pressure.

hopefully all is well and go boating..
