MerCruiser 170/470 No Spark

After following the Manual, I just replaced my Ignition Coil. Still no spark. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks.

With no more information than you furnished, I would bet that willy is right with his reply to your other post on the same subjet.

Have you cleaned or replaced and gapped the points? That's the problem 99% of the time. Very few coils fail.

try changing your condenser inside the distributor if its a points system. better to change it all though, good regular tuneup maint.

better yet toss the points system and go with the electronic system. Allot more reliable than the old points. good luck
