Mercruiser 190 oil leak

Our Mercruiser engine just started showing a high oil pressure and developed an oil leak on the starboard side. Since the boat is a twin engine, I can not tell exactly where the oil is leaking from, it is dripping off the engine at a spot below and between the oil filter and fuel pump. The leak started small and has gotten worse in just a few minutes of running on the muffs. The engine has not been ran on the lake in over a year. We have not changed the filter recently, so I have ruled that out. Oil doesnt seems to be coming from the filter either. The filter sits verticle and screws into a house as opposed to horizontal into the block. Assuming the switch in front of and just below the filter is the oil sending unit, it is not the source of the leak either.

Any ideas on where we should start looking?

Re: Mercruiser 190 oil leak

Used a mirror to locate the leak. Oil is coming from the bottom of the intake manifold, where the oil cooler is located. Bolts are tight so that isn't the problem. Plate has a gasket under it, which could be the source of the problem.

Still wondering if this is the problem or is the oil pressure the real problem. Oil pressure gauge started reading high about the time the leak developed.

I'm assuming the intake manifold would need to come off to work on the oil cooler.

Any one have experience with a similar situation or have advise to offer?

Is this the 3.7 inline mercruiser 4 cylinder?
There is a O ring instead of a gasket and removing the intake is a lot easier.
