I was gonna build a gantry but after i put the engine back in, I won't need it anymore so it will just be sitting around taking up space.

The The engine lift at a rental place would have been about 30 bucks but were too short to reach over the side.

So I found a 3rd way. Cost 60 bucks to remove it and 60 when I'm ready to drop it back in. See pics

Yep, that'll do it.

Fortunately I have an old Hyster forklift with a 3 stage mast, tilt and sideshift. I drilled and bolted a hook thru and at the tip end of one of the forks and budda bing. Out and up she goes. If I run out of side shift to clear every thing, then once the motor is free, we just back the trailer up a little bit then back the forklift away.
