mercruiser 260 lift/trim stopped working?

i recently replaced the head gaskets on my mercruiser 260. when i put everything back together there was a ground wire hanging that i dont know where it goes,it is connected to the block. i think it's a groung for the lift trim since it stopped working all of a sudden.. does anyone have a link or drawing on how the wireing goes there?
