Hello, I have purchased a 1985 Sea Ray 300 Weekender, I would like to know if I can replace my Mercruiser 260 Engines with two 454's. Is there enough head way and will they mount and connect correctly. Did they ever make this boat with 454's? Also, I am looking for two take-out 260's if anyone has a lead on them. I can not afford a re-power this year and would like to find some good used engines.

Cheers
Manny!

Your drives cannot handle the power output of 454's.....;)
It is possible to install 454's with new drives, but very co$tly......
Your best bet is to get some rebuilt longblocks from Rapido marine in Miami.....;)

Is this a I.O., I.B., or V drive boat. Sea ray did make a few 30" with 454's in the 70's. might check with them for specs.
