Tried to start after two months hanging on the lift. It turns over fine but won't fire. Tried starting fluid, have spark at distributer plug cable connector, have gas at entrance to carb? The safety switch is in the correct position (up). I can see flame at the bottom of the injectors at top of carb when key is turned and engine is cranking. It does not even try to fire.

Is it still a carb when you have fi?

No, it's not a carb when it's fuel injection. It's called a throttle body.
What do you mean when you say you had spark at the distributor plub cable connector? ? ?
You check for spark by removing the coil wire from the distributor CAP and holding the wire about 1/2" from a good grouind then cranking the engine over and watching for a spark to jump the gap.

How mechanical are you? Have you ever done engine work before?

And get rid of that starting fluid before you destroy your engine.
