Hi all,

Looking for some advice. I am finding it quiet hard to pull my shifter into neutral. Is there any adjustment to make this easier. It says 'us marine' on the badge and you pull it away from the bulkhead to engage throttle. I think it is a teleflex...
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

The Alpha drive needs to have the shift cable and shift interrupter working and adjusted correctly to shift into neutral. The shift interrupter switch must make contact as your shifting out of gear to make the engine stumble to release pressure on the clutch.

With boat in the water and in gear, try to shift to neutral, if its hard, shut the motor off, then move to neutral. If it moves easy to neutral with the motor off, you need to adjust your shift cable. More then likely you need to replace the lower shift cable and readjust. The lower shift cable is a very common wear out product

I saw the shift interrupt connections were not attached. This would probably explain it. I'm learning fast! I stripped down the controls and regreased them and also noticed that there was a broken wire on the trim up switch. Another problem sorted!

Thanks a million
