Hello all! Any help is appreciated. Bought a 1987 Wellcraft for $800. No fuel was getting to the carb so I replaced the pump. Now, fuel is still not getting to the carb. Mine is the pump with the bowl on top. Right now I'm charging my battery to full so that I can get a longer crank try considering all lines and pump were empty. I guess my question is how long should that initial crank take to see gas pumping up to my jar at the carb? I'm using a small fuel tank to eliminate the "blockage" potential from the boat tank for now. The engine seemed to be cranking slowly. I inspected the camshaft roller that engages the pump and it seems fine, but I'm no expert. I've tried cranking for 20 seconds at a time and managed to get the filter wet, but no gas up to the carb.
