mercruiser 5.0 head gaskets new felpro..not stainless steel?

Ordered a master "marine"engine rebuild kit.. Felpro "marine" gasket kit came with it..head gaskets are not stainless..felpro # 17020 ( which says in description on their website marine stainless core).. the original head gaskets are totally NOT attracted to a magnet.. the new ones are TOTALLY atracted to the magnet.originals surface is "printed out" detailed.. differently also..the new ones look very "generic". Typical basic 305's, anyone else run into this issue?.. Thanx! for any opinions..pictures coming..

It says stainless laminate, which likely means that there is a thin steel core. Because it would be encapsulated by the stainless it's a way to make it cheaper but still effective.

No such luck.. they don't have them for the marine 305 not even for others..oh well.. thanx anyway

I've had the felpro on my 350 build since 2007. Zero issues in freshwater...
