Hello..

A little history quickly.. I took my boat to the mechinic to have a ring gear on the flywheel replaced. (Im sure they had to pull the engine) got it back and mechanic said to run it for a while with the muffs on in the driveway and give everything a good look over. Make sure we didnt miss anything.. Dont just go droping it in the lake.. Really look it over.. I found a few little things that needed to be strightend out. In all this checking and replacing fuel filters and putting batteries back in ECT I got it in the water and it idles, starts, and runs at low RPM perfect. But its like the rev limiter kicks in about 2500rpm.. I called the mechanic today and he said its in "Guardian Mode".. So I did some research to find out more about Gardian mode..I found that low oil pressure will cause this also... I went and checked my oil level and there was just barely a drop showing on the stick.. Im farily sure that was my problem.. Here my question... When I correct the oil level..Will the engine come out of guardian mode or dose the ECM need to be reset with a computer..

Ayuh,... I donno...
But,...
I'd top off the oil, 'n Try it...
Disconnectin' the battery for a few minutes should reset the 'puter, if it's needed...
