Good morning,
I was having problems with the engine running rough so I took it to a mechanic a few weeks ago. He found water in the oil and has replaced the head gasket on the port side and both exhaust manifolds and elbows. He now has the engine back together but it won't start. When he runs diagnostics with his computer injectors 1-4 fire fine but injectors 5-8 get no response. I know he has checked fuel pressure and he says he is getting spark.
This guy really seems like he knows what he is doing and I have been impressed so far with his attention to detail and he seems to have done a nice job so far. At this point he is stumped. It must be something that he has put back together wrong because it started just fine when I took it to him.
Does anybody have any ideas that I can give him? If he does not figure it out by Friday I'm going to have to pull the boat and take it somewhere else.
