mercruiser 898 outdrive interchange

Hi Guys,
I have a 78 SeaRay 197 with an 898 motor and drive. The drive went yesterday. Gears blown..full of shrapnel inside. What drives interchange with this one? If I can't find a direct replacement do I have other options? I'm shopping the used market.

Ayuh,.... The MC-1s, as well as the Alpha 1s will bolt right on, 'n run,....

Make sure ya stay with the same gear ratio,....
