So i have seen you guys help someone on this type of issue and I am hoping I can get the same response.
Reinstalling my 350 with a thunderbolt IV in a Mercruiser alpha one gen 2, in a 1996 Maxum 2100SR and I have some wires hanging and I am some issues with them and the online diagrams I have found. Previous owner had it rebuilt and I believe some wires were hanging when i disassembled. Attached are the pictures of the wires, the two tan ones I am pretty sure go to the thermostat housing I just dont know which side they go on, the purple one with the flat blade style connector i am pretty sure was not connecting when i started to disassemble. the butt connector from the shift cutoff switch i figure went to the other butt connector but it would be tugging and over the upper intake

thanks in advance

Pics didn't make the trip
You sure that it is a TB-4. how many wires you have on the distributer?
Tan wires go to water temperature sender gauge. Now if one of them is a Tan/Blue it will go to the water temp switch. Both will be on the thermostat housing
Purple wires are 12V switched (are energized when key is turned to on). Having a flat blade connector I would suspect it would go to the electric choke

I also just found a spring under the motor, anyone knows where this go?
The purple and black wire makes sense to why it was not hooked up, i cant find an electric choke on the carb 20140817_190909 (1024x576).jpg
