I am installing a mercruiser in my boat that was originally set up with a ford. I am trying to figure out what the engine bed should look like. It seems as thought there should be something at the rear to support the bell housing other than the transom mount or does it just bolt to the transom mount with nothing under the tabs on the bell housing? Thanks

Do you mind me asking, why are there tabs on the bottom? It obviously was made so that it could be mounted that way. Is that for a jackshaft or straight inboard install or something like that?

That’s where they are bolted to the shipping crate.
