Mercruiser Engine, OMC outdrive; exhaust elbow issue

I replaced my OMC 3.0 L with a Mercruiser 2.5L. I had to kuse the old bellhousing and coupler and now I am faced with yet another problem. The exhaust elbow is 25 degrees clockwise of the riser on the outdrive.

Does anyone know if they make an adapter for such a change, or do I have to replace the exhaust manifold?

Probably be easier and cheaper in the long run to update the Manifold, as they need periodic replacing anyway...

Use the 1 off the 3.0l.............

Thanks guys. I am going to research replacing it. I was hoping that someone made an adapter since the motor is back in the boat now. Oh well, youins gots to dooz whatchya gots to dooz! LOL

Well, I have purchased an adapter that may align the two without replacing the exhaust and riser. It is a 70 dollar gamble versus a 450 dollar replacement.

We'll see how it goes this week.

OK, I got the adapter and it doesn't look like it will work without some hefty modifying. I am looking for a manifold and am not sure which one will fit.

Recap - I have a Mercruiser 2.5 L that I need to adapt to an OMC outdrive exhaust. Will the 3.0 L OMC mainfold PN 984054 work on the Mercruiser 120? Or do I need the log style that is for a OMC 2.5 L?

I hope someone sees this thread. Help Admirals! LOL

You Need the Same 1 that was on the Original motor.......
