Hello, I am pretty new to the boating world and I have a 1995 Mercrusier I/O. Today we were running the river and all was fine. At one point we started to take off and the enginer sputtered and died. At low rpms the engine seems to stall and vibrate when in gear. When up to higher rpms and on plane the engine seems to runn fine. Can you please offer some suggestions to what could be my problem?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

If it just started this you might have sucked some crud into your carb plugging the idle jets. Assuming it is a carbed motor. If it fi then could be a problem with many things.

No I have not checked the fuel filters. It just happened a couple of hours ago. Would this cause the vibration?
