Can someone tell me what the Mercury part number is for the oil filter on a '05 4.3 MPI???
Filter that was on the boat:
35-802885T.........
Slightly taller than the one I bought but normal looking on the face part of it.
One I bought since the box said "for V6 and engines with remote oil filter" is:
35-866340K01.......This filter has a different bottom on it which almost looks like it was designed to run inverted.
