are there any specs for the amount of water that should be delivered to the thermostat housing. this is an alpha 1. 4.3l v6 engine.

like so many gallons per minute at a certain rpm?

if not subjectively how much water flow should be expected?
thanks

If the impeller is 2 years old it needs replacing.Should have a good flow

i removed the hose from the oil cooler, made sure no kinks in hose and no obstructions in oil cooler. at idle 650 rpm water slowly flows out at about 1/3 the diameter of the hose. at 2000 rpm more flow but about 1/2 the diameter of the hose filled. should this water be under more pressure and at least the hose be completely filled

thanks
now does anyone know how much flow should be expected from the impeller pump? should it be like a garden hose, under some pressure, or is it more like pouring water out of a pitcher? would be nice if there was a measurable amount of water expected..
mine at idle is like poring water from a pitcher into a glass. at 650rpm maybe a gallon every 20 sec or so. it fills the hose about a third of the diameter. at 1500 rpm. fill hose about 1/2 of its diameter but still like pouring water from a pitcher.

Ayuh,... It should be full hose bubblin' over at idle,...
