Please Help!
Just bought first boat.
Sea Ray 1989 200 cc Cuddy Cabin I/0
Mercruiser V6 4.3L / Alpha One.
She runned fine when tested.
Change belts ( both looked suspicious ), change water hose from thermostat housing to circulating pump (also looked not too good ). Runned her on Muffs with no problems.
Put her water.
Runned fine slow at low rpms.
Temperature when up when WOT for a few minutes( almost 200 ).
Let her iddle, but temperature stayed up ( but not higher) for a few minutes until I shut it off.
Started her back after 10 min, temperature was not that high ( about 180 ).
Iddle her for 5 minutes and temperature when down to around 140, wich is lower than normal acording to the manual .
Sut her off and went home.
Sick worry all day today :(
I will go down the river today and try her again today.
Any ideas , Please ?

Need more info.
Are you sure the belts are tightened correcly?
Are you sure the hoses are clamped good?
What thermostat do you have? 140?
How old is it?
Have you taken it out and checked it to see if it is sticking..... or working at all?
Have you had an oil change recently/?
Have you checked the timing?
How heavy a load did you have on the boat when you tested her?
