Hello, I am trying to find out some information on an electric shift set up on a mercruiser 165 with a pre alpha leg. I have tried to google, but am unable to find anything. The system appears to be a servo bolted directly to the shift plate. There is a boat at my marina with this set up and he swears by it. Is this a stock mercruiser item? or maybe something a genius fabricated on his own. Anyone ever seen this before? know where I can find any information?
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the response, maybe I can find the parts at a wrecker. Why would they discontinue this? The idea of connecting this to a joystick has really got me thinking.. Plus I have replaced all my shift cables with top end stuff and the upstairs helm is still not as smooth as I would like. My cables link from upstairs through the downstairs levers. Downstairs helm sifts really smooth, but upstairs is to clunky for my liking. The electronic shifting that is on this other boat is crazy smooth as I would assume it's just switches.these wires could be piggy backed to a joystick. Of course this is not a necessity, but I like this idea a lot.
