Mercruiser Sterndrive Propeller

i bought a 1996 proline 231 wa. with a 5.7 merc i/o bravo 2. how do i know what prop it should have on it. i can't find any numbers on it. where would they be. the prop thats on it looks new but when i noticed a vibration when i checked it out i found it is out of round. i guess the guy i bought it from had it reconditioned and they put the hub off center. is there a deal on props out there. thanks rich

Ayuh,.... Are you Sure of that,...

Bravo IIs are usually found on Houseboats,+ other Huge barges....

If by some freak of nature you Do have a Bravo II,...
You're going to be limited to buying from Merc. or some of the larger Prop Shops...
The props used on the Bravo IIs are Not very common...

Taking the prop you have now to a Prop Shop will probably be your Best Bet...

Numbers are usually found in one of two places. 1) on the hub of the prop between the blades, or 2) on the hub of the prop behind the prop nut and washer. They are sometimes hard to read but a piece of paper placed over the numbers and then rubbing across them with a lead pencil will show the numbers.
