MErcruiser "top cap" or top cover assy question

My top cap with the cracked hook eyelet is part number 55758, and I bought a 76098 that was supposed to be a replacement, but the bearing race diameter is larger on the 76098.

What to do? One is 1.782 and the other 1.937

and your replacing the cap why? return it if you can ,I have flat caps that fit.

Thanks, I replaced it because the eyelet is broken, it's a twin 6cyl, and I'd like them to match, and, I'd like to hook them while trailering.

I`ll check tomorrow to see it it`s still there but your hydrolics should hold the drives in trailer position
