hello all;

I have completed a rebuild on my mercruiser transom +++.
(went very well with assistance from here)

The only thing I don't have is the torque settings for the 8 transom bolts. If anyone could pass those along or recommended torque if there is no 'official' setting???

Thanks in advance

Hate to tell you this brodie, but you posted in the Mercury OB forum, I'll just move it over to the IO forum for you, then go up to the adults only sticky and you can download a Mercruiser installation manual. It should cover about everything you will need on putting it back together.

Howdy,

I seem to remember 25 ft-lbs for my Bravo.

I know it's not much. But you're squashing wood and fiberglass between two metal plates.

Be sure to verify that in the service manual. I'll bet the Alpha is the same.
