mercruiser transom seal

I have the gimbal housing off my boat and saw there is a rubber seal on the back. It is in bad shape and will need replaced. I tried to search to find one but havn't had any luck, what is this called? The year is approx 1982

Need more info than approx 1982.
There is a # stammped on the transom.It should contain the year.Then what motor and drive do you have.They should have a serial# somewhere on them.
This part# might help 65533 Just add more info to make sure.J

according to the number on the transom its an 82. No motor in boat when i got it but originally had the 2.5. Serial # on gimbal housing is 6006379.

That # I gave you should be right.The dealer sells these parts so your kind of stuck where you buy.
They don't sell them here but iboats does.They sell OEM at discount prices.
Go to the dealer get the right part# Call iboats and talk to them they are real good with parts.J
