Mercrury enricher vale

Hi again it a 1983 115hp inline , hi rpm last time out motor would not start. repaired staor, trigger, rec, new plugs and changed switch boxs about 4 month ago. motor had not run in 8 years , forget I rebuild carbs and water pump did all this before it would run. will after hi rpm motor would not run. so I put new coils in today would not start. fuel all over, I was looking at cabs and vale enricher and noted it could be tured so I did the motor started. I did not know why. looking at carbs, again noted gas at top of vale enricher cover. the sping is bad . so I turned it again and the motor higher rmp the other way lower rpm. Can I repair this vale or need new one . I did not know turning it would change rpm. what can I say. guess the hi run rpm stop it from starting? Please clear this up for me. read manual could not fine anything?

Did not get reply in 4days when ahead and orded new so called enrichen vale Most would call it "a choke" me too. Will anyway I got the new enrichen vale and it dones did seam to ajust like i stated above , just open and closes. it is not like the old one at all you can ture the end but it done not do any thing., i have no installed it ,going to tommor hope to have a good 4th .I* was a e-5 army 1969-1971 hope all vets great day

there a picture of the new vale it can be used on 4 diff units. if it didn't ajust I will have to think mine was bad becasue of the gas comming out the top. it was only a small amount but it would also be able to suck air in to it. hope this will helps someone.100ck

Will installed new enrichen vale it works .but there is no ajustment on it. I took old one apart and it Dose ajust the idle. Now it runs at hi RPM and I have to ajust timming ,hope I can get RPM down. NEED ALITTLE Help dose anyone know about enrichen vale?????????
