Mercrusier Repair Manual

I've been trying to find a service manual from MerCruiser and foound it on Mercury's web site however I didn't realize it was going to be so expensive. Over $80 each for the engine and the drive. I know the best is the mercruiser books but does this Seloc manual cover both engine and drive, or just the drive? I checked ebay for factory MerCruiser manuals to no avail. They had them for different years but not mine that I could find.

I also looked for my serial number and could not find it near the starter but I did observe a sticker on the starboard valve cover towards the rear with the number 0B443829 on it. Would this be my serial number for the engine? Also, am I looking in the right spot for the manuals and are they really that much? https://webapps.brunswick.com/litreq/navigate.do

That serial number is for the drive, and makes it a 1987, 1.5 ratio. V8?

That 0B443829 serial number is for the outdrive. If this is for the engine and drive setup in your signature, you need manual #9 for your engine and #6 for your outdrive, use the link posted by Dshow for the manuals.

Keep an eye out for serial number 0B431173, It would have been the original engine serial number to the boat.
