I've been trying to find a service manual from MerCruiser and foound it on Mercury's web site however I didn't realize it was going to be so expensive. Over $80 each for the engine and the drive. I found this Seloc manual on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Clym...60309242251QQptZMotorsQ5fManualsQ5fLiterature
I know the best is the mercruiser books but does this Seloc manual cover both engine and drive, or just the drive? I checked ebay for factory MerCruiser manuals to no avail. They had them for different years but not mine that I could find.
I also looked for my serial number and could not find it near the starter but I did observe a sticker on the starboard valve cover towards the rear with the number 0B443829 on it. Would this be my serial number for the engine? Also, am I looking in the right spot for the manuals and are they really that much? https://webapps.brunswick.com/litreq/navigate.do
Thanks!
