Trent...

What is this system you're talking about? A new outdrive set up? If so, I'm not at all familiar with it... Enlighten me...

Thanks...

Walt

Re: Mercrusier Smartcraft

Its like a outboard in alot of ways....

System utilizes a network of sensors and actuators to monitor and protect engine from low oil pressure, temp, over-speed, and low cooling water pressure, and also has a rev limiter if problems occur.

Its installed on the new 4.3MPI, 5.0 MPI, 350MAG/MPI, 6.2MPI, 496MPI Sterndrive and Inboard engines.

E-mail me your address and I will have some info sent to you if you want. I don,t know about this Trent.. Been my experience, that the less you need to depend on electronics, the better, especially around water and salt.. yeah, I guess you could argue that the space shuttle is totally electronic, but the systems are very redundant..just a thought...http://www.livorsi.com/smartcov.htm
