Mercuray 115 HP/ Low Oil Alarm

Anybody: My motor is oil injected and my alarm came on. The oil resevoir was a little low so I added till full but the alarm will not go away. The manual says the alarm will reset once the engine is turned off but it won't. Anybody have any ideas what it will be?

Probably the float magnet has come unglued, disconnect the blue wires at the bottom of the tank if that stops the alarm thats the problem.

Laddies, thanks for the info. If I find that this is the problem, could this be fixed or do I have to buy a hole oil tank? What if disconnect the wires and the alarm still goes on, then what? I greatly appreciate your info.

It's about impossible to repair the easy way out is a tank.

Laddies, the alarm did go off when wires were disconnected. I took the tank off and when I took the sensor off the alarm stopped. Also when the tank was tilted upside down the alarm stopped as well. Seems like the float at the sensor area is not being lifted with the fluid. I installed the new tank and the alarm is no longer sounding. Thanks for your advise!
