I have an old Mercury 110 9.8 that had a bunch of bad wires (insulation deteriorated) on the switch box. Since I could not find an OEM switch box I purchased a replacement one. The installation instructions said to connect the green and green/white wires to cylinder 1 and the blue and blue/white wires to cylinder 2. The problem is I don't know if cylinder 1 is on top or bottom.
